1. Mardaani
The film centers around the problem of sex and drug trafficking in India. Rani Mukherjee is seen playing the role of a police investigator, trying to catch hold of the syndicate that’s behind the unfortunate abductions of teenage girls in the city of Delhi. Starring Rani Mukherjee against Tahir Bhasin, the movie is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and is going to be released within a few days.

2. Mary Kom
The film features Priyanka Chopra and Danny Denzongpa and is directed by Omung Kumar. The Mary Kom biopic is about the life and times of one of the most gifted female boxer based in India. It talks about Mary Kom’s rise from a small village in Manipur to the biggest boxing platform in the world.

3. Finding Fanny
The cast of this movie is enough to tell you why it’s one of the most anticipated movies of the whole lot. It includes theatrically prominent names like Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film is a take on the ‘absurd’ and speaks of the existential crisis in the life of five characters, by depicting it as a way of life. It’s about five odd-balls trying to find a mysterious woman named Fanny while the journey is what matters in the end.

4. Haider
An adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the drama-film is beautifully shot in Kashmir and looks cinematically promising. The film is Vishal Bhardwaj’s third attempt on adapting to a Shakespeare play, after Maqbool (2003) and Omkara (2006). A must watch for drama lovers! Featured cast include the actors Shahid Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Tabu and Shraddha Kapoor.

5. Happy New Year
The upcoming heist film directed by Farah Khan is packed with action, comedy and drama and is all about “a handful of diamonds”. It revolves around planning and executing a robbery in the middle of the world’s largest dance competition. The film stars Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bacchan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Vivaan Shah and Sonu Sood as its cast.
