Spielberg Teams Up With Disney For an Adaptation Of The Big Friendly Giant

Summer of 2016 will be a very exciting summer for you if you love Roald Dahl, because Disney is bringing to you an adaptation of The Big Friendly Giant. Watch the official trailer below –

The film is directed by Steven Spielberg and will be called The BFG. Originally written by Roald Dahl, the film tells us the story of a young orphan girl and the Giant who introduces her to a world filled with adventure and magic! This will be the first time that Steven Speilberg, Roald Dahl and Walt Disney join forces.

“It’s story about friendship, it’s story about loyalty and protecting your friends and it’s a story that shows that even a little girl can help a big giant solve his biggest problems,” Spielberg reportedly said.

So, what better way to bring in the summer? The movie is set to release on the 1st of July 2016; two months before Dahl’s 100th birthday.
