Duran Duran represent the 80’s disco-pop generation. The romantic softies were perhaps the most unusually brilliant choice for this Bond flick. Unusual because the band and the song they eventually came out with were completely different from what one came to associate James Bond theme songs. ‘A View to a Kill’ is perhaps the most peppy, ‘get up and dance’ Bond song ever. After all, this was what the 80’s was all about, and both Duran Duran and makers of the movie embraced it.
