Coldplay is Back With ‘A Head Full of Dreams’

Coldplay is back with its first single from their brand new album  ‘A Head Full of Dream’. The first single is called ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ and it is Coldplay at their brightest, most euphoric yet. The album is a followup to ‘Ghost Stories’, which was a somber, melancholic album.

‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ is catchy and upbeat. It has all the elements for an energetic stadium performance, including Chris Martin’s ‘Woohoo’ at the end. While the previous album’s central theme revolved around Chris Martin’s break up with Gwyneth Paltrow, the new album embraces an ‘adventurous’ spirit and all about the unity of the band. In ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’, Martin sings about a new girl in his life. “And if we’ve only got this life / Then this adventure, more than I / Wanna share with you”, sings Chris in the chorus of the new single. There’s an overall feel-good effect, verse after verse. “Ohhh, you make me feel / Like I’m alive again”

The band has never been afraid to experiment with their style. The new single is pop, it’s disco, and it makes you want to get up and dance no matter where you are. The dream-like guitar riff throughout the song takes one back to ‘Strawberry Swing’. It only takes a few listens of the song to become an instant favorite. Coldplay is embracing life, and so are we.
