They are the biggest names in fashion; they dress the world and make couture the most expensive thing to collect and swear by. And this year, they make their debut in India. The Indian market and fashion space has expanded and is ready to entertain international players, which hitherto were exclusively available only to the rich and famous. Trend Police has compiled a list of the nation’s newest addressee for high-street fashion, with reasons why you should pay them a visit:

1. GAP

Gap has held the Indian imagination for many years, since the days when it served as every Indian’s first shopping stop abroad to last month in May, when it officially launched its first store in Delhi. The San Francisco-based clothing retailer partnered with Arvind Lifestyle Brands and created quite a buzz, at its opening in the capital city.

2. BCBG Max Azria

The name that’s a favourite with Hollywood’s biggest celebrities (from Emma Stone to Zoe Saldana), is soon going to be available in India. The American label has partnered with Reliance and is expected to offer apparel, footwear ad accessories to its consumers. Known for its wearable approach to sophisticated style, BCBG is being eagerly awaited by the masses.

3. H&M

The Swedish Fashion house, Hennes & Mauritz, often known for its cool designer collaborations and superstar ambassadors like Beyonce, is soon going to premier in India. Fashion enthusiasts are growing restless with excitement over the Autumn/Winter preview its set to hold, before the official store launch in August.
