Seven Days and Ways to Style Your Eyes
Whoever said eyes are the windows to ones soul, probably knew the power of eye make up. Every day, the way a woman styles her eyes, reflects her mood. Inspired by the season’s biggest beauty trends, we give you a count on how to go about dressing your eyes in a different way, each day. Let your eyes do the talking :
Monday
Its all about shaking off the weekend hangover and asserting power. Witch your black pencil, create an outer wing like Prada or go half circle around the eyes like Celine, defining your eyes.
Tuesday
You’ve survived Monday and have settled into the humdrum of weekly life. Express your comfort in your space, with colouring the upper and lower depths of your eye in shades of brown. Further add a mascara, to the look like Paul & Joe and swipe a light black kajal like Reem Acra. Either way, you will exude simplicity and comfort.
Wednesday
You have come mid way, and are gripping with work and meetings. Quickly apply just a coat of mascara and be off to work.
Thursday
You’re inching closer to the weekend and already getting in the mood and feel of it. Go the Shiseido way and apply its latest Luminizing Satin Eye Colour Trio for a nude look, topped with a sparkly shine.
Friday
That one day in office when no work gets done post lunch. Pop in some colour to your eyes and express your excitement for the coming weekend. This season shades of blue and red are a rage. Swipe a red pencil like Peter Som, or smear a blue eye shadow like Jean Paul Gaultier or follow Dior’s latest pastel coloured -stick on liners.
Saturday
That day of the week you were looking forward to. Step out in your most sexy skin with a slept-in, charcoal smoky eye look, with layers and layers of black pencil like Tom Ford, or Sonia Rykiel.
Sunday
A long night’s sleep followed by brunch and nothing major planned ahead. Sundays are only meant to relax, and you should skip all make-up and bask in your natural beauty. The no-makeup look is the season’s biggest trend and is being followed on the ramp by the likes of Marc Jacobs.
