Action Films That You Just Cannot Miss in 2015
The year 2014 gave us a lot of great blockbusters like Guardians of the Galaxy, Interstellar, Godzilla and of course the awesome surprise hit The Lego Movie. There were also some duds like the Transcendence and Legend of Hercules. This year too has an amazing line up of action movies with some of the best actors in the business.
Here are the movies that might just blow your minds this year.
7. Jupiter Ascending
Release Date: February 6, 2015
The Legendary siblings of mind-bending sci-fi are back. The Wachowski siblings are here with their latest outing after the epic Cloud Atlas. Their new flick, Jupiter Ascending is the story Jupiter Jones played by Mila Kunis, a lowly janitor on Earth; who is also the heiress to an intergalactic empire. You can trust the Wachowskis with content such as this, and they sure will have us engrossed in their universe. If history of the Wachowskis is an indication, you may not grasp everything in the first viewing.
6. Kingsman: The Secret Service
Release Date: February 13, 2015
What do you get when fine Shakespearean actors kick-ass? Well you get Kingsman. Starring the likes of Colin Firth, Michael Caine, and the badass Mr. Samuel L. Jackson, this movie is all about all out action. There will also be special appearances from Adele, Elton John, Lady Gaga and David Beckham. This one should not be missed.
5. Furious 7
Release Date: April 3, 2015
This will be the last time you’ll get to watch Paul Walker on the big screen. Vin Diesel is back with his team, but they’ll face their most formidable opponent yet in the form of Jason Statham. Skydiving cars, fast cars, cars blowing up, this one will surely give us the much awaited edge-of-the-seat thrill that we have come to expect from this franchise.
4. Jurassic World

If you are a kid from the nineties, no movie would have given you more nightmares than the Jurassic Park. Now its the year 2o15 and its time to go back to the island inhabited by our prehistoric relatives. Jurassic World, the park once envisioned by John Hammond has finally come into existence. This time around a huge number of visitors are reaching the island to experience the prehistoric marvel, but as expected, something terrible is about to happen. It’s time a whole new generation of kids got ready for some night terrors.
3. Terminator: Genisys
Release Date: July 1, 2015
He is back. Though he has aged quite a lot in the 24 years since we last saw him, Arnold Schwarzenegger seems all set to blow some stuff like the old days. This time around he’ll be joined by an equally badass Sarah Conner played by Emilia “Khalesi” Clarke. By the looks of it, this one feels like a winner and has everything that we expect from a Terminator movie. We really hope this one upholds the legacy of Terminator: Judgement Day.
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron
Release Date: May 1, 2015
The mighty saviors of earth are finally back but this time around they are on the receiving end. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will mark the finale of the phase two of the phenomenal Marvels Cinematic Universe(MCU). This time around it will be a battle between the Avengers and Tony Stark’s evil kid Ultron. Joining the gang will be Paul Bettany as the Vision, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the Quicksilver. Marvel has been riding high on its unbridled success at the box office, and this one looks like it’s surely going to be a winner.
1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The year will end up with some crazy pewpewpew in space. The next installment in the epic force behind legendary outer space adventures is here. Ladies and Gentlemen this year will see the seventh installment in the Star Wars series. With this movie, the fantastic trio from the original movies, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill will make a return to this epic space opera franchise. The nerds, as well as the regular folks, are going to be in line for this one as it comes after ten years since the last release in the franchise.
