Watch Farhan Akhtar Encourage Female Emancipation in this Great New Song

Farhan Akhtar, who is known for many talents, is also known for his activism. His most prominent social campaign called MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination) was launched in March 2013. The campaign aims to raise social awareness against rape and discrimination of women.

The campaign garnered positive feedback and was supported by many prominent faces of the Indian pop culture. Folks like Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Adam Gilchrist, Gautam Gambhir, Shaan, Mahesh Babu and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar amongst many others supported the campaign.

Now Farhan has partnered with the music composer duo Salim-Sulaiman to bring an anthem to encourage women to use the internet to empower themselves. The video is tasteful and conveys the message that using the power of the internet, women can be an equal participant in developing the nation. It encourages women to break the cages and challenge authority while asking men to help break the cages.
